The Nickelodeon Room may be the brightest star in the tour. This is truly one of the finest collections in the world. Nickelodeons, defined as coin-operated musical instruments, are not your grandmother’s player piano. You will encounter machines with drums, marimbas, horns, triangles, and yes, even violins. Also included in this portion of the tour are magnificent photo players (huge music players found in cinemas to accompany silent movies), the first jukeboxes ever made (steel disk boxes with automatic record changers), and beautiful steel roll music boxes. The collection also boasts the Seeburg Style “R” Pipe Organ Orchestra.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the Valley Forge Piano Roll Company, which includes a custom-built laser-cutter, able to reproduce paper rolls for any music machine. An impressive use of technology for preservation purposes, this anthology contains upwards of 500,000 pieces of music. Additionally, the Music Box Society International (MBSI) has partnered with the American Treasure Tour to house a majority of their collection with us, providing our visitors with the rare opportunity to view one of the most extensive collections of rare music machines ever put on display for public view.
